About the Position

Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive impactful marketing strategies? Join our client’s dynamic team as a Data Analyst specializing in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM). In this role, you will engage in the entire analytics lifecycle—from data collection and processing to model development and insights generation. Collaborate with a team of experts to tackle complex econometric challenges and contribute to optimizing marketing effectiveness for leading global brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement MMM Models: Design, build, and refine Marketing Mix Models to assess the effectiveness of various marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights that inform marketing strategies and budget allocation.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, finance, and product teams to integrate MMM insights into broader business strategies.
  • Optimize Marketing Spend: Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize media spend and maximize ROI across different marketing channels.
  • Report and Present Findings: Create comprehensive reports and present model results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest MMM methodologies and industry best practices to enhance modeling techniques and analytical approaches.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • BSc./MSc./PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related STEM field.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Python: Strong coding skills with proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as NumPy and Pandas.
    • Econometric Modeling: Extensive experience with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and other econometric modeling techniques.
    • Statistics: Solid understanding of Probability, Statistics, and Bayesian Statistics.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Exceptional ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insightful, actionable models.
  • Language Skills:
    • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a flexible and innovative mindset.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Conscientious, detail-oriented, and tenacious in tackling challenges.
    • Quick learner with the ability to grasp complex topics and structures rapidly.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced Statistical Techniques:
    • In-depth knowledge of Bayesian Statistics and its application in MMM.
  • Data Engineering Tools:
    • Experience with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi, and CloverDX.
  • Optimization:
    • Understanding of code and resource optimization techniques to enhance model performance.
  • Visualization Tools:
    • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to effectively communicate insights.
  • Additional Analytical Techniques:
    • Experience with A/B testing, attribution modeling, and other advanced marketing analytics methodologies.
